GRANBURY - At a midnight news conference, Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds confirmed six people were killed in at least three tornadoes that hit his county near Granbury on Wednesday night. "That could climb higher as the night goes on," he said, adding that the hardest-hit area is the Rancho Brazos subdivision, with the damage concentrated along Davis Road between Acton Highway and Rhea Road. GILBERT, Ariz. -- The Higley Unified School District athletic director was found dead Wednesday morning from what Gilbert police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. An employee found Art Wagner, 42, just off the Higley High School campus near Pecos and Recker roads between the baseball field and railroad tracks at approximately 8:45 a.m. The incident was reported to police as a suicide, however, it is still under investigation, according to Sgt. CLEBURNE - A residence near Cleburne had its roof ripped off as a violent tornado touched down around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Darrin Vasquez said it was "loud and very violent" as the storm created a "vacuum" that appeared to be lifting everything up. "Thank God we're all right. We all said our prayers," Vasquez said. Emergency personnel are going door-to-door trying to determine if anyone is trapped in damaged homes. Dozens of ambulances were staging nearby at a triage center to deal with as many as 100 injuries. ROUND ROCK, Texas -- One person is dead after an accident on FM 620 and Deepwood Dr., a few blocks west of Round Rock High School. It happened around 2 p.m. when a red car traveling westbound on FM 620 crashed into a car driving eastbound. That crash forced the cars into a third vehicle sitting at a red light.
